I drew this to show my reverence for the Great Mother (earth) and the spirit beings that look after her. Mother nature is at the centre, her helpers the fairies are all around her, as are their helpers the butterflies. Where ever they are all present there is great beauty, balance and harmony.

I wanted to depict my belief that all forms of life have a spirit, an intelligence and are deserving of deep respect. In this picture I show Mother Moon, Sister Sun, Mountain Mother, Sea Guardian (in the form of a mermaid) and Mother Earth, abundant with life.
